The Glowing Eyes

She walked by the tree as it shook. She could see a group of glowing eyes peering through. “We promise not to hurt you, we’re hiding from her…she wants to lock us up,” the whispers rushed through the branches.


"Are you okay? Can I help?" she whispered back.


“Yes, come closer and we’ll tell you. You can help us get out of here so we can escape,” she replied to her, still whispering.


She crept into the tree and saw the group of odd-looking birds. “No, don’t go any further, they can’t be trusted. Just stop right there!”, the lady screamed from a distance.


But it was too late, the biggest of the birds knocked her over the head and pulled her into the tree.
