She stood in the hallway with her umbrella.
“Is it raining out?”
“No, I just carry an umbrella everywhere with me in case. I haven’t been fond of the water since I’ve had my near drowning experiences.”
“Come on in, I promise it’s nice and dry in the lab and you won’t have to worry about any dampness or water.”
She walks through the open shoot that leads down to a special lab where he has the patient’s equipment set up.
“The suit will regulate your vitals and your body temperature. If you don’t feel comfortable at anytime, you can clinch your fist and snap and we’ll hit a button. This will cause it to loosen up so you can immediately jump out of it. We put safety measures in all of our equipment. We understand that not only are we dealing with the waking world, we are dealing with the dream world which can be very tricky at times.” The doctor explained.
“What about the nightmare, what about the water that is in my dream, I get so close to drowning sometimes. What about that?”
“Don’t worry. I’ll be there the whole time and most of the time because I’m in your dream you won’t show up and if you do you’ll be with me and I’ll help you along the way. We have a “fail safe” button that allows us to get you out of there when your vitals and the EEG read high levels. So it’ll be okay. So hang tight and lay down. We’ll take care of you.”
Dr. Scotchez stood before a house saturated and dripping. As it opens, water slowly rushing out. He walks into the opening, into the room stepping over the threshold. Rain sprinkled down upon him, dampening his hair and clothes.
